Google Campus Competition
Sept 2013
Designer: Krissy Harbert & Sebastian Guirnevau
Concept: What should Google's new headquarters look like? For us, the answer was not a building, but rather a campus that expressed the Google playfulness. The building is merely a shell that separates the inside from the outside; the building should be simple and timeless. The environment, views, and feeling, is what distinguishes Google. We proposed the campus to show up as a doodle on the aerial Google Maps, to create identity at the largest scale possible. Our competition entry board only made sense to be presented as a Google search; therefore the judges have to look at each image and puzzle together the story. We won first place, but more importantly, we had a ton of fun brainstorming and executing.
