Working closely with Stanford historian Tom Mullaney to brand, design,
and promote his exhibition Radical Machines Chinese in the Information Age.
The exhibition explores the seemingly impossible, yet technologically crucial
Chinese typewriter.
This system created uses an invisible dividing line across all of its
applications, representing the rift between Eastern and Western tech
development. Radical Machines fills this void—the information lost to
history that bridges the gap between the two developing worlds. Content is
fragmented, asking the viewer to bounce left and right of the dividing line,
simulating a conversation between the two parts.
