We R' Cute Shoplifters

We were hit up by our friends at GOOD Magazine to help them out with some editorial illustrations and cover ideas for their Summer 2017 issue.

Written by Tasbeeh Herwees, We R Cute Shoplifters is an inside look at the hidden teenage world of Tumblr’s anti-capitalist Bling Ring.

To do justice to such a rich topic, we joined forces with the amazing Nick Hum and channeled our inner 15 year old. The result was a pastiche that included neon colors, emojis, memes, good and bad typography, and the patron saint of shoplifting: Winona Ryder.

Sadly they didn’t use any of our covers, but they did allow us to channel our inner Kanye on the contributors photo.
