Blending Worlds: The Intersection of Analogue & Digital

For this cover illustration for PAGE Magazine, I explored the synergy between analogue and digital illustration, merging acrylic marker textures with crisp vector elements. The result is a visually striking composition that embodies connection, diversity, and creative exchange—key themes within the issue’s focus.
Concept & Process

Creativity thrives on contrast. I wanted this cover to reflect the coexistence of different artistic approaches, much like the evolving creative industry itself. By juxtaposing the organic, imperfect feel of hand-drawn marks with the precision of digital design, the artwork serves as a metaphor for how these worlds don’t compete but enhance each other.
The process started with intuitive analogue sketches, layering expressive strokes with acrylic markers to build a raw, tactile foundation. These elements were then seamlessly integrated with vector graphics, adding boldness and clarity while preserving the energy of the original textures.
Impact & Reception

This hybrid approach resonated with designers, illustrators, and visual storytellers, sparking discussions on the importance of mixed media in contemporary illustration. The cover’s layered meaning and dynamic aesthetic highlight how traditional craftsmanship meets digital innovation to push creative boundaries forward.
A huge thank you to the team at PAGE Magazine for this fantastic collaboration! This cover is a testament to the power of visual storytelling—where analogue and digital merge to create something fresh, meaningful, and future-facing.
