OSCARs 2021

In 2021 I was invited (with 6 other artists) to create an artwork for the OSCARs award show. The brief was simple, it had to include the OSCARs statue and in some way it should answer the question "What does movies mean to you?". For me, watching a great movie is about being emerged into another world, stepping out of my own life and letting the story, the acting, the photography, the clothes etc take me on a journey to another place. This is what I wanted to show by the stripes/ribbons surrounding the statue.
