Geoengineering Monitor

Geoengineering Monitor is a global initiative committed to raising awareness about geoengineering projects and their potential ecological and social impacts. Advocating for transparency and policies prioritizing environmental sustainability and social equity, the organization’s mission demanded a visual identity that was both modern and approachable.

As the lead designer, I was tasked with rebranding Geoengineering Monitor to address outdated visuals and inconsistent design elements. The new identity aimed to make the project more engaging and accessible to diverse audiences while reinforcing its credibility.

At the core of the rebrand is the logo, featuring a compass-inspired "G" that symbolizes guidance, vigilance, and the organization’s monitoring role. The arrow within the design signifies forward-thinking and direction, while the "G" doubles as a monitor, emphasizing oversight and awareness. Complementing this is a 3D isometric illustration style, chosen to present complex ideas in a clear, visually engaging manner, fostering a better understanding of the initiative’s mission.
While working with limited scope and budget, I delivered refined branding and mockups for one or two website sections. Given more resources, I would have enhanced the website's UX, ensured consistent typography and headings, and incorporated animations to enrich the digital experience. Despite these constraints, the rebranding successfully elevated the initiative’s visual identity, making it more cohesive and appealing while amplifying its message of informed advocacy.
