Fanta Snapchat Campaign Dashboard

The Challenge
Snapchat provides a unique platform for brands to connect with their audience, but its lack of robust analytics tools presented a major challenge for Fanta. Running ad campaigns on Snapchat required manual posting and offered limited visibility into post performance, making it difficult to optimize and measure success. Fanta needed a solution to gather detailed campaign insights and streamline their posting process to ensure maximum engagement with their followers.

My Role
As part of a collaboration with Sympler, I worked closely with the design and development teams to conceptualize, design, and deliver a custom Snapchat analytics platform tailored to Fanta’s needs. My role involved leading the UX design for the dashboard, ensuring it was intuitive and met the brand’s operational and marketing requirements.

The Approach

User-Centered Design

Conducted workshops with Fanta’s marketing team to understand their workflow and pain points with Snapchat campaigns.
Designed a streamlined, user-friendly dashboard interface that aligned with Fanta’s brand identity while offering powerful analytics tools.

Private API Integration

Leveraged Snapchat’s private API to extract performance metrics, enabling detailed insights into campaign reach, engagement, and follower activity.
Campaign Automation

Built functionality to allow mass posting directly from the dashboard, eliminating the need for manual uploads via the Snapchat app.

Designed an asset management feature to organize and deploy campaign materials efficiently.

The Solution
The Fanta Snapchat Campaign Dashboard revolutionized how the brand managed and tracked their Snapchat campaigns:

Detailed Analytics: Provided real-time performance metrics, including impressions, engagement rates, and follower growth.
Automated Posting: Enabled Fanta to schedule and mass post directly from the dashboard, streamlining campaign deployment.
Enhanced Usability: Delivered an intuitive interface that empowered Fanta’s marketing team to optimize campaigns with ease.
The Outcome
The dashboard delivered exceptional results for Fanta’s campaign:

3x Lower CPM and CPE: Achieved significantly lower cost per thousand impressions (CPM) and cost per engagement (CPE) compared to KPI benchmarks.
10M Engagements: Delivered over 10 million engagements in just six weeks, tripling initial benchmarks.
424K New Followers: Grew Fanta’s Snapchat follower base by 424,000 during the campaign.
High Lens Engagement: Each campaign lens was used over 500,000 times.
User-Generated Content (UGC): Followers sent an average of 30,000 snaps weekly to Fanta’s profile, encouraging organic conversation and sharing.

Reflection
This project showcased the power of combining innovative technology with user-centered design to solve platform limitations. By creating a custom analytics and automation tool, we enabled Fanta to harness the full potential of Snapchat, delivering a campaign that exceeded engagement benchmarks and set a new standard for social media success.
