Living Form was a digital platform that introduced Japanese contemporary arts to Western audiences and 21st-century collectors. I worked with myOrb Studio to conceive the idea, later interviewing kogei creators and performers for in-depth explorations of their art.
The platform’s identity was based on the Shinto principle Sanmi-Sangen which utilizes the triangle, the circle and the square to represent the present, future, and the past. As artists work in the present, they use traditional and ancient techniques to create something new and envision the future.
