Synopsis Writing for Netflix

Netflix decided to expand the scope of their synopses for titles on the streaming service and app by experimenting with thematic variations of the standard synopsis style. The focus of these thematic variations fell in several categories such as plot, critics, nutrition, talent, and awards. I was a member of the contract team tasked with experimenting with writing in the new themes but still within the parameters of the Netflix style guide. For each title, we would wrote multiple versions of the synopses, all of which would appear on the streaming service or app randomly so Netflix could gather data on which type of synopses grabbed member attention more.
