PETA

Peta needed a commercial to expose the trauma of animal testing. And with that, came a handful of challenges. First, to really show what happens to these animals is so brutal that nothing they ever make actually gets approved for air on television. So, how do show the trauma and override the censors? Second, the budget was small but they wanted to go big. So how do you make a million dollar spot for 30k? I was able to answer the first challenge by using a familiar object we all have some kind of visceral connection to—a Teddy Bear, and put that object through the animal testing experience. Second, using connections I've made in filmmaking over a long career of working with production companies, I found one willing to go all in on it for 30k, my travel included. Proof that a powerful idea can get made regardless of budget with the right talent at the helm. What we ended up with was a film that has reached over 600,000 views and facilitated the closing of animal testing facilities around the country. The work is not yet done, as there are still several companies using animals to test medicine and cosmetics, but this certainly touched the hearts and minds of people around the world and made great strides for the cause.

I'm also including additional work I've done for PETA including an animated spot called "Don't Stand for Injustice" that was approved by Colin Kaepernick himself and launched the day of the Super Bowl when it blew up on Twitter.

Another is a spoof of "Be A Lady They Said" called "Be A Sweater They Said" that made a pretty big splash online. if you don't have the stomach for violence against animals, don't watch.
