Berlin-Charlottenburg

This was a project for a client who purchased a poorly renovated apartment. So in addition to the surface design, I also redesigned the functionality of the kitchen and bathroom. I also “built” a bedroom closet and a bookcase/working area in the living room. The design phase was completed within 3 months and the products were ordered by the client from different craftsmen and stores.

I completely redesigned the kitchen and connected the kitchen top to the window sill, which was intuitive and natural. I created some open shelving next to the window instead of closed upper cabinets, thus keeping daylight. I also made sure that everything aligned with everything else and that the whole kitchen looked clean and balanced.

I got rid of the large tub that didn’t fit in a long but narrow bathroom. Instead, I created a shower corner and placed an adequate size sink along the wall. This worked much better in that narrow space.

I finished my design with the balcony, which is a cozy retreat during summer evenings. I created a comfy bench and used some contemporary furniture to complement it.
