The Big Float #6

I’ve been involved in design for The Big Float festival since its inception. It’s a tubing float on the Willamette River in downtown Portland, serenaded by bands on barges, and a beach party at the end in the bowl at Waterfront Park. From designing the event’s official logo and the logo for the non-profit that runs it, to designing each year’s look used in posters, bus sides, t-shirts, magazine and newspaper ads, web banners, etc., it’s a well promoted event. The designs shown here are from 2016, the sixth year, with a sixties psychedelic concert poster theme.
