Dear Sugar wanted a striking, simple design for a poster for “Dear Sugar Radio: The Writers Resist, Portland Edition” – a live taping of WBUR’s (Boston’s NPR) advice podcast, hosted by Cheryl Strayed and Steve Almond. This show strays from its advice theme to interview and hear from authors discussing the new world we are facing. The raised palm shows resistance and empowerment, topped off with a writer’s pencil as the middle finger as a subtle, irreverent FU.
