Brown Is Warm, Black Is Bright Book Cover Lettering

I was commissioned by Little Brown Young Readers to letter the title of Sarah L. Thomson’s latest children’s book, Brown Is Warm, Black Is Bright. I worked with their team to create lettering that felt warm and textured.

The final lettering was vectorized by hand and featured on the cover, spine, and folded inside dust jacket flap. The illustrations for the book were done by Keith Mallet. The book is available for pre-order now and is set to be released Fall 2022.
