Situation
Headquartered in Basel Switzerland, Novartis International AG is the largest healthcare multinational pharmaceutical company with one of the highest world-wide industry sales (57.9 billion US$) and a market-cap of around $280 billion. Novartis operates with the vision to be a trusted leader in changing the practice of medicine. Their business is divided into three operating divisions: Pharmaceuticals, Alcon (eye care) and Sandoz (generics). As a market leader in the life sciences industry, Novartis imagined a digital engagement strategy where HCPs (Healthcare Provider) can easily access unbiased content of superior quality tailored to the need of the HCP. Novartis enlisted our studio’s expertise to bring this concept to life. Together, we designed and built two responsive web applications – Vivinda and Vivinda TV.

Action
We reached our goals by supplying:

● We leveraged the information architecture to help define the product’s underlying structures. Structures include content, navigation, process flows, and site maps.
● Visual design was used to bring the final look and feel to a product. This will encompass subtle layers of brand identity and emotion on top of IA and wireframe work. This will be achieved by creating a visual language of styles that work together to communicate the appropriate tone and emotion to bring the user experience to life.

Result
Vivinda and Vivinda TV were piloted for the 2016 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) conference in Chicago. An estimated 15,000 HCPs and 5,000 Novartis users will use Vivinda TV to view videos of ASCO conference presentations. Initial results from the pilot:

● 70,000 page views
● 30% completed +75% of videos they watched
● 17,000 Oncologists from 98 countries reached
