BuzzFeed UK, 2020: Black History Month Poster

"For the Life of Us" is a composition celebrating the vibrancy and positivity of the black community. With the constant representation of strength and diversity within the community, I thought it would be great to embody those sentiments through bold colours and patterns. Each character illustrated personify a different facet of culture, uniqueness and feeling in this community where excitement, hope, strength are showcased. I am constantly inspired by the black community and culture through our vibrant and colourfully diverse nature - I'd thought I'd represent that in this work.
