A book showcasing architecture from Guimarães, Portugal, between 1937 and 1970. A facsimile trying to replicate the spirit of the archives in a single book, containing sketches, large architectural plans, small notes, and essays.
Different paper stocks, all cut to various sizes, were used to replicate the look and feel of an original project file. For each group of Architects there’s a small folder that can be separated from the book and read individually.
The accordion folded binding was the solution to make that separation of all individual folders possible, but also to allow for an expanded handling of this book.
