Permafrost

A personal experiment exploring new CGI lighting and rendering techniques. The subjects themselves are inspired by the juxtaposition of elements core to New York winters: the cold, frozen buildings and nature and colorful lights glistening off of the wet city streets.

The result is a bittersweet meditation on both the thrill and loneliness this time of year embodies.
