When the incredibly-talented musician, Sonia Rao approaches you to Illustrate and Design her debut album, you shouldn't say no. After sharing her demo tracks and artistic vision behind the album with me, I quickly roughed out a multitude of ideas inspired by her music and her story. We explored the options together and found one that felt perfect. Over the next few weeks I meticulously refined and illustrated the artwork, making sure everything was just right. Finally, when the overall template of the album was decided, I explored type and design options with her until the final product was realized! This one is still one of my favorite projects, one that felt like it's why I went into this line of work!
