The Rodeo

Every Friday & Saturday night, in the heart of Fort Worth's historic Stockyards, the Stockyards Championship Rodeo is in full swing. Bull & bronco riders, barrel racers, steer wrestlers, and team calf ropers come to improve their ranking and to take home a small purse. People from all over the world come to see the grit and determination of each competitor. The bull riders congregate behind the chutes all evening, many of them Brazilian riders, as they 'bookend' the evening's events. This series is part of a photo essay I'm developing for submission to a regional publication.
