Letter L

The Paper Artists Collective challenged 26 of their members to create a letter of the alphabet using
Senses Paper, from Wigston Paper.
Each artist was sent 3 surprise colours and allocated a letter from the English alphabet.
The letter gave to me was “L”, which shape I think is graphically versatile, both in geometric and cursive styles.
I explored these possibilities using different patterns and designs, and also was influenced by the Portuguese tiles. Absolutely all the elements of the picture are shaped in L letters. I had a lot of fun doing this project!
