As a child, Bronx-born Nigerian, Susy Oludele also known as "African Creature" used to be bullied in school for being different and eccentric. However, her vibrant hairstyles made her stand out. As an adult, she's made quite a name for herself by creating Hair By Susy--a community based hair salon in East New York known for their elaborate hairstyles ranging from locs and braids to African head dresses. Not only is she influenced by her Nigerian roots, but now she is influencing women around the world with her hairstyles. She went from once being homeless to now working with A-list celebrities from Beyonce and Solange to Zoe Kravitz.
