SPLITS

‘Splits’ is an app idea I created at SVA. The assignment was to recall an inefficient user experience and then create an app that would solve it. I immediately thought of the complications and stress that arise when splitting the bill at a restaurant.

When we meet up with friends, we want our time to be carefree and enjoyable. Unfortunately, it’s too often the case that when the bill comes, a great night can turn into a disaster.

I realized there had to be a way to make this universally dreaded moment easier. Which is why I created 'Splits.' With three simple prompts, you can find out exactly how much each individual owes. No more awkward moments. And friends can spend time doing what’s really important: being together.
